Chick-fil-A: the sauces of America's best fried chicken
Chick-fil-A is America's fried chicken sandwich giant — and its sauces have a reputation that travels far beyond the walls of its 3,000+ restaurants. The Chick-fil-A Sauce, born from a happy accident in the 1980s, has become the go-to dipping sauce for millions of Americans. With the Polynesian, BBQ, Honey Mustard and more, each bottle brings the taste of a Chick-fil-A meal straight to your kitchen. Founded in 1967 by S. Truett Cathy in Atlanta, the chain now sells its sauces in retail — and we import them direct from the States.
MoreWhere does Chick-fil-A come from?
The story begins in 1946, when Truett Cathy opened a small diner called the Dwarf Grill in Hapeville, Georgia. It was there, in the early 1960s, that he developed what would become the first fried chicken sandwich on a brioche bun — a recipe the chain has never changed. The first Chick-fil-A opened in 1967 in an Atlanta mall, and the rest is history.
As for the sauces, they have their own origin story. The Chick-fil-A Sauce was born from a happy accident: a franchise owner named Hugh Fleming in Virginia had been mixing honey mustard with BBQ sauce for his customers. Demand exploded, he passed the recipe to corporate for free, and in 2006 the Chick-fil-A Sauce officially joined every menu. Its formula is now well-known: a blend of honey mustard, BBQ and ranch.

How to use Chick-fil-A sauces?
As a dipping sauce for nuggets or fries, obviously. But they're also great as a marinade for grilled chicken, as a burger sauce, drizzled on a Caesar salad or as a veggie dip. The Chick-fil-A Sauce is especially unbeatable on a homemade fried chicken sandwich.
