Co-founder Jim Disbrow was a high-level figure skater — he'd even been selected as an alternate for the 1968 US Olympic team before becoming an entrepreneur. It was while judging a skating competition at Kent State University that he met Scott Lowery and the restaurant idea was born. A quintessential American story: from figure skating to Buffalo wings via an empty storeroom near a college campus.
