Jones Soda, the "People's Craft Soda"

Jones Soda came to life in 1995 in Vancouver, Canada, founded by Peter van Stolk and photographer Victor John Penner. The brand, now headquartered in Seattle in the United States, has established itself as a premium craft soda, both Canadian and American at heart. Its promise: a soda made with pure cane sugar, with no artificial colorings, in beautiful glass bottles in bright colors.

Did you know it's the customers who make the Jones labels?

This is the brand's big claim to originality. At first, Jones put photos taken by Penner on its bottles. Then the company had a stroke of genius: use the shots sent in by customers themselves! To this day, anyone can submit their photo on the Jones website and, if it's selected by online votes, end up on thousands of bottles. Your cat, a landscape, a memory... anything goes. And that's not all: under each cap hides a little "fortune" (a quote or message) also sent in by fans. No wonder Jones is nicknamed "The People's Craft Soda"!

For a quick, indulgent dessert: pour a chilled bottle of Jones Cream Soda or Root Beer into a tall glass, add two scoops of vanilla ice cream. The ice cream foams up on contact with the soda and creates an irresistible creamy texture. It's the famous "float" of American diners, and with a cane-sugar soda, it's even better!
