Did you know Faygo comes from two Russian brothers?

In 1907, Ben and Perry Feigenson, two brothers who emigrated from Russia, settled in Detroit and founded their bottling company: the Feigenson Brothers Bottling Works. They drew on their traditional Russian pastry recipes to create their first sodas — strawberry, grape and fruit punch. Success was instant in Detroit!

In 1921, the company took the name Faygo (a contraction of Feigenson). The brand grew and became a Midwest institution, with more than 50 different flavors over the years. Faygo is also known for another reason — the tradition at ICP (Insane Clown Posse) concerts where the group showers its audience with bottles of Faygo. The rumor is true: thousands of liters of Faygo are used at each concert!
