In 1981, a marketing director frustrated by the lack of salt-free products for her own kitchen created her own spice blend. Before it was called "Mrs. Dash," the brand nearly became "Mrs. Pinch"! Since 2020, the brand has refocused on the simple name "Dash" — as in "in a dash." Today Dash belongs to B&G Foods, the same family as Crisco and Grandma's Molasses — a real authentic American cooking family!
The original Dash formula contains 14 herbs and spices: onion, black pepper, parsley, celery seed, basil, oregano, thyme, cayenne, coriander, cumin, mustard, rosemary, garlic, orange peel, tomato... A subtle balance that works on just about everything!
