Where does Bubblicious come from?

In 1977, the American Chicle division of Warner-Lambert watched Bubble Yum revolutionize the gum market and decided to fight back. Bubblicious launched the same year, positioned as the big-bubble specialist with an even softer formula and bold, fruity flavors. Early sales were modest — until the 1978 "Ultimate Bubble" animated campaign, which showed kids blasted into fantastic worlds by their enormous bubbles. That changed everything.

Bubblicious quickly became a market leader, racking up 28 flavors over the years. After Warner-Lambert, the brand passed to Cadbury Adams, then Mondelēz, before being acquired by Perfetti Van Melle in 2023.
