The Calypso story

The original Calypso lemonade recipe was created in 1985 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, by Tim Kezman, owner of the King Juice Company. The idea was simple: make an authentic, delicious lemonade from real lemons and real sugar. In the early days, the drink was delivered locally by the company's little truck! Over time, the original lemonade grew in popularity. Inspired by the fruits, flavors and spirit of the islands, it was named "Calypso" in 2000 and launched in its first four flavors. That was the birth of a whole category: flavored lemonade. Today, Calypso is one of the biggest lemonade brands in the United States.

Did you know every bottle contains real lemon bits?

That's Calypso's signature! Every drink is made with real lemon or lime bits, real sugar and natural flavors, all served in pretty, premium custom glass bottles. You can even spot the pulp and little lemon bits at the bottom of the bottle — proof of the recipe's authenticity. A real old-fashioned little treat!

The Limeades (lime-based) — for a tangier, more exotic touch, also available in several fruity flavors.

The Teamonades (tea + lemonade) — the refreshing marriage of iced tea and Calypso lemonade, for fans of tea-based drinks.

The Zero Sugar (Light) versions — all the Calypso taste, without the sugar.

Calypso lemonades are a perfect base for colorful cocktails (with or without alcohol)! Pour a Calypso Ocean Blue or Paradise Punch over ice, add some fresh fruit and a fun straw, and you've got a mocktail worthy of a beach bar.
