Jet-Puffed: the American marshmallows that make life fluffier since 1958!

"Soft, sweet and always delicious — Jet-Puffed makes life fluffy!" The slogan says it all. Jet-Puffed are the American marshmallows from Kraft Heinz since 1958 — bigger, airier, meltier than anything we know in Europe. Regular, Mini, Mega and Marshmallow Creme — four formats for four different uses, all essential to recreate authentic American recipes at home. My American Market imports them straight for you!

Did you know Jet-Puffed was launched with a spaceship contest?

In 1958, Kraft launched its extruded marshmallows under the name "Jet-Puffed." To promote the brand, a real spaceship (simulator) built by Aerojet-General Corporation toured American towns — kids lined up to sit at the controls! It was the space-race era, and Kraft rode the wave. Today, Jet-Puffed produces more than 60,000 tons of marshmallows a year at its Kendallville, Indiana plant — the only factory in the world that produces Jet-Puffed!

The difference with French chamallows? Jet-Puffed are much bigger, far airier and meltier, with a texture that holds up perfectly to cooking. It's not the same experience at all!

The 4 Jet-Puffed formats

  • Regular — the classic cylindrical marshmallow, standard American format. Perfect for s'mores, campfire skewers, cake decoration and rice krispies treats.
  • Mini — the little marshmallows, essential for American hot chocolate (you melt them on top!), rice krispies treats, sweet fruit salads and fudge recipes.
  • Mega/Jumbo — the XXL marshmallows, made to be roasted over a campfire. Bigger = more surface to caramelize = more flavor!
  • Marshmallow Creme — the marshmallow paste in a jar. A creamy, melty texture, essential for frosting, fudge, fluffernutter and many other recipes!

What to make with Jet-Puffed?

S'mores: The ultimate American ritual. A graham cracker, a square of chocolate, a fire-roasted marshmallow — you squeeze it between two crackers. The chocolate melts slightly, the marshmallow caramelizes... It's an experience. To recreate in Europe: Digestive or speculoos biscuits + dark chocolate + Jet-Puffed Regular over a flame or under the oven grill.

Rice Krispies Treats: The simplest American recipe: melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a pan, add 300g of Jet-Puffed mini marshmallows, stir until melted. Off the heat, fold in 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal. Press into a buttered dish, let cool. Cut into bars. 10 minutes, 3 ingredients, magical result!

American Hot Chocolate: Pour Jet-Puffed minis over your hot chocolate — they melt slowly and create a sweet foam on the surface. Try to believe!

Fluffernutter: The strangest and most delicious American sandwich. Spread a slice of bread with peanut butter and a generous layer of Marshmallow Creme. Press with another slice. It's sweet, sticky, completely addictive — a real institution in American school yards for 50 years!

American Frosting: Mix Marshmallow Creme + Crisco + icing sugar + vanilla = the ultra-white, firm frosting of American layer cakes. The cake decorators' secret!

Quick Fudge: Melt Marshmallow Creme + chocolate + butter in the microwave. Pour into a mold, refrigerate 2 hours. A perfect American fudge with no thermometer or technique!
